The reason I am asking is because I don't know a lot about SOHC honda engines. I was trying to help a friend out who got a good deal on a d16z6 head and was wondering if this head would work correctly on a d15b7 non VTEC block in a 93 civic dx? Other things I would need to know are what head bolts to use, head gasket, best computer for the swap, timing belt, water pump etc, and whatever else I would need to take in mind when doing the swap. I am sure some of you guys might be able to shed some light on the situation. thanks,

 

I just did this swao two weeks ago. here's the deal on parts:
1.6 metal gasket 92-95 si
1.5 water pump
1.6 timing belt
1.6 p28 ecu (best)
1.5 timing tensioner
1.5 oil pump
1.6 intake manifold with injectors
1.6 distributor
1.6 head bolts

and last remove oil jet from block .

 

what exactly are you talking about when you say oil jet. the oil gallery between head and block??
