funny idle on turbo ITR b18
idle issue with my car is still present
idle is very low at all times, the same when cold, idles around 400rpm... BUT when you boost it, the idle goes up to 3-3.5k rpm
switch the engine on and off and it goes back to 400rpm.. and so on..
have tried 3 known working idle control valves now so pretty sure its not that..
have checked the wiring from ecu to the idle control valve plug, that checks out ok..
my mapper tells me the TPS appears to be functioning correctly when monitering on the ectune software (laptop)
car is mapped on ectune, my mapper is pretty confused about this, as am i..
(ectune,omni 4bar map sensor)

with the idle control valve un plugged the car idles the same so its looking like its not even working.. however i have changed it 3 times for other known working valves, they all seemed to work when first putting them on, then this happens like a week later..
with ignition on im getting 12.4v at the idle control valve plug on the yellow/black wire. is this correct?
also i started the engine with the idle valve disconnected and the engine check light was on and the engine was hunting on partial thottle and very delayed throttle response at low revs

if u unplug the wire and it makes no difference
wireing must be wrong or broken (should be blue/blk and yel/blk for iacv)
ur tuner should see what the iac duty cycle is at idle and 3k
sounds like a sticking throttle body (can u pull the gas pedal back up after boosting 2 see it ur idle goes to normal)

I've seen this on a few NA cars that I've tuned (both K and B series). I'm not too familiar with eCtune, does it plot manifold pressure against RPM for the fuel and ignition tables? If so, do a log and see where the car is idling in terms of manifold pressure. In the case of the cars I've looked at it was that they were idling in the area of the map intended for full throttle..and as such had values not intended for idling (you generally want a fuel plateau at idle). If you can send me some screen shots of your map and where the car is idling I can take a look if you'd like.
The second possibility is the TPS. Does eCtune allow you to synch the throttle position with the ECU or adjust the idle valve duty cycle?
