Default Project spare parts into daily

Well ill try and make this short. I got a crx shell for free about 2 weeks ago. When i say shell i do not mean it was lacking just a motor and trans. By shell i mean it has no headlights, tailights, bumpers (front or rear),fenders, hood, interior, suspension, or brakes. It wasnt even a roller. Most would say its not worth rebuilding but "worth" isnt really whats its about, more about fun. So anyway I bought tailights, wheels (just sportmaxx 002's), fenders, rear bumper. I included some really crappy pics but feel free to tell me how much its not worth rebuilding. The motor is going in this weekend hopefully, that is if the machine shop is finished with the head.

The suspension is nothing great just tien springs on rear and skunk2 sleeves on the front. I also hate the black and red theme so the wheels will be painted or traded. The fenders and bumper were red I just temporarly spray painted them until I can do a decent paintjob on them.

Lol freeagent thats kind of how i think of it. Whatever's cheap and in good shape jdm or not is what im looking for. I found the jdm front and rear bumper for a good price so i bought them, i got a jdm hood for free (banged up but its only temporary). The motor and trans were traded for a BARE ls block. The head thats going on was free as well, same with the nos kit. Free is the name of the game as long as it works!

Well im broke until payday, luckily thats tomorrow. So in the mean time i shaved the "H" off my valve cover and left just the "honda", i also spent my last pennies on the paint for the valvecover. I dremeled off the "H" then blocked it with 60 grit sandpaper, some primer and itll be golden. Also im ordering the paint for the engine bay tomorrow so stay tuned for this thread to pick up fast cause im planning to be daily driving this car in 1 month.

Picked up some headlights and put them in. Also ordered a new bumper mount for the jdm bumper. I also got some blox lca's and a rear camber kit. Also had a friend of mine paint on my nos bottle since it was all scratched up. It says "no boost. no lag" and "homebuilt" which is a car group im a part of. The mad doggin panda has no symbol....just..to mad dog i guess. Anyway here are some daytime pics.

Double edged compliment lol..the backend is nice but the rest is sh*t lol. Just messing around. The back bumper isnt bolted on its just resting on there but considering i bought the bumper seperate of the car it matches PERFECT. The car used to have a mugen body kit on it hence the glue on the sides. I already have a plan to take care of that just trying to get the body a little more complete. Anyway thanks for the encouragement everyone just trying to do my part and save a crx that was going to the scrap yard.

well a bit of an update. The head is back and looks great. I found a valve cover today so i decided to paint it the color im going to do the shaved cover. I also removed the brake booster and master cyl (which had no brake fluid left just a black goop) so i could start prepping the engine bay. I got all of the seam sealer ground away just need to prep the rest and i can lay down some primer. A friend stopped by which reminded me to say thanks for hooking it up with some FREEBIES (zip sero nadaaaa, anyone remember monster garage? no..ok back on track). He hooked me up with a wood steering wheel with quick release, p28, the head im using complete with distrib modded to fit obd0 harnes, and a short shifter. So ,thanks buddy! Anyway here are some pics

Ok finished sanding and primered the engine bay today. The stuff that isnt masked is being removed and refinished or replaced so please do not give me grief about not masking certain stuff. Also this isnt a show car so i didnt bother to do a crazy "lets shave everything we see" style engine bay. Anyway here are a couple primer stage pics. next is laying down the paint!...unfortunately the paint still hasnt arrived.

Pulled the crx back into its spot and dropped the suspension for replacing and cleaning it up. Also the front brake assemblys are off a crx hf so...that needs addressing. so here are some end of the day last minute pics.

Well everyone big update one of my friends is parting out his y49 crx so i called and asked for the whole interior and he wouldnt sell it to me, said it was going with the shell. So i said fine and asked for the sunroof, he said nope its going with the shell, so i bought the whole damn shell. Now here is the delema, both cars are clean title, both si's, but which one should i build!?! The y49 or my black one. I have no idea! Give me some input people
