Anyone ever replaced a glasstop with something else?
Has anyone ever done something like this? I'm not planing on replacing the glass but it does have a small crack. If the crack were to ever get bigger and spider I would really not want to pay the easily i'm guessing close to a 1000 dollars to replace it. Soo I ask, has anyone ever put something else up there?
I might look into getting the crack fixed...any other ideas, I've always dreamt of a carbon fiber replacement piece. But such a product doesn't exist haha.
Might check out some Lexan, or other brand of Plexiglass. Check out this site. One of many. http://www.estreetplastics.com/

fackkk!! nasty crack..wait...jajaja...but you know what i mean..im sure theres something you can use to fix that..have you asked the glass specialists around your area? Maybe they have a good solution instead of replacing and paying HELLAmoney!!
If that crack might not be able to be fixed you can use it as a 'positive' to make a mold. You could make a carbon fiber top from that!!!
Why is your car RHD with a glass top and you got USDM bumper and hood?? Im guessing either you converted to RHD and installed the glass top yourself, or it had JDM front end and you got in a wreck and you threw some USDM stuff on there cuz it was laying around!
The 88-89 CRX's look very similar to the US models.
they make carbon fiber roof caps that just go on top of the roof, and full race cf roofs w/ the skeleton and everything that replaces the whole roof. if i could only remember the name of the company...
It's just an SI so, it doesn't have the SIR front.
If anyone can figure out the name of the company that makes the cf roof replacement I would be very appreciative! I can't find anything searching.

Plexiglass and lexan are bad ideas.
The heat from the sun will warp and bow it.
It's not so bad for side windows, but the roof will be much larger and fighting gravity.
