hello i have an aem cold air intake, and usually i can hear it suck in air pretty loud at idle and when i turn off car, it does the whole "shhhhhhhooooooooooooop" sound. i had my IACV replaced at a shop and some idle adjustments a couple of days ago, today i noticed there is no intake sound or barely if any from the air filter. can u guys think of anythin that would cause this and how do i make it back to how it was? thanks

 

car drives perfectly fine by the way, i just cant hear the suction

 

That sound that you were hearing was from the IACV being open which is what mine sounds like when I turn the AC on and the IACV compromises for the extra draw on the engine. When I hit the gas the sound it makes is funny because the IACV closes at the same time.

 

if your cai in quilter then what it used to be. take the filter off and make sure they didn't just jam it all the way on, then install it properly on to the pipe

 

some Aem cold air intakes dont make that sound it depends on the car
