99 EX water leak issues
Hi everyone,
I have a 99 EX V6 and noticed this morning that the rear driver side footwell was soaked with water. We did have some heavy rain last night so I'm trying to figure out where the water is coming from. I've searched the forums and didn't really find anything that matched my problem exactly.
Most of the water is behind the drivers seat. Is it possible that gravity just moved the water from a leak up front to the back? The carpet in the drivers area is only slight moist and may have been from my shoes when I drove it the previous day. Some of the things that I will need to investigate are:
Sunroof drains (Does anyone know the path the drain takes?)
Windshield seal
Door/Window seals
Am i missing anything else?
Thanks

whats up? well man im pretty sure the sunroof drains down the a-pillars cause thats where most hondas run... theres little plastic tubing in there. I have a 99 accord and haven't had any leak issues so I'm probly not much help sorry. sounds dumb but did you leave a window cracked and not realize it? or the sunroof on vent mode? good luck with that!
The car was due for an oil change and needed the hood release replaced so I had the local shop look into it.
They found that the sunroof drain that runs inside the car and then back out through the wheel well was disconnected under the dash. I checked it out and the tube is now securely taped together to avoid future mishaps.
Sorry for not replying back I was just happy that the issue was resolved.
