car crank over but dont start..change dizzy,check all plug n wire to make sure its all plug up right, new spark plug. still wont start...new ground hook up too..its a obd 1 eg hatch stock p72 ecu... so help me out here ht..

 

Does the fuel pump prime?

Is there bright white spark at the plugs?

Any CEL codes?

 

Dont now how to check the fuel pump?
no spark on the spark plug but new dizzy tho..
cell code were acv?,the one on the back of the inakemanifold next to the throttle body. my knock sensor,n oil pressure plug..those all the cell that came up..

 

When you turn the key to ON(II), listen for the low humming sound of the fuel pump priming for 2 seconds in the rear (gas tank). In a quiet place, this priming sound is pretty noticeable.

 

I check on that..so what if i dont hear nothing..could that be the prob..would i need a new fuel pump then? i did check the fuel line by the fuel pressure r..there was gas that came out when i took off the line just to c if fuel was goin to my injector...

 

Troubleshooting takes different directions depending on whether the engine lacks only spark, only fuel, or both spark and fuel.

Also check for CEL codes.

If the only problem is the lack of spark, then test the coil and have an auto parts store test the igniter unit in the distributor.

 

Ill take it in n c whats up..my car been dead for 2day now n i tryed checking the cell code n some how it dosent tell me my code???light just stays one..my guy say i need the car to be running for min in order for cell code to pop out???idk??..but here how it happen b4 my car wont started...my bro was driving it n it keep dieing on him like 4-5 time?? n everytime it die he start it back up n just give it gas n just go...his last time when it die n started it back up n made it home...he said he heard a big pop noise from the exhaust witch it back fire....n got home..then i start checking on the motor n started it up n juat slowing die off..n i did ajust the iacv...n check timing n all my sensor..then try starting it up n now it wont start up..i didnt make no ajustment on the timing but just change the dizzy from my guy working car..n still wont start??

 

any more info here ht..i think my crank is off or slip...
