OBD1 JDM P72 Auto to manual
Anybody knows if I can convert JDM P72 rectangular auto ecu to manual?
I know with USDM ecu's jump/cut RP17,18. But I did not find such resistor in this one, the board is 1900. I also heard about Jdm ecu's changing resistance from 2,4 to 1,4 ohms on RP18, but like I said no RP18 on this one.
Please help!

Firstly, there is an RP18 on JDM ECUs so look a little harder. Secondly, it's not necessary to touch RP18. People change RP18 only to make it match what a stock manual would come as (A jumper instead of a resistor). RP17 needs to be removed, that's all.
are the numbers on the ECU 37820-P72-9?? if so you can't convert or chip it.
sort of an oddball ECU.
If it's a J or some other number then go for it...
If I remember right, on JDM ECUs RP18 is on the back of the board, with the connector facing up, mid way up the right side with a cluster of other resistors.
A 1k resistor works fine also.
depending on where you are I can help you out if you'd like.

Of course that's the exact numbers! What a lucky me. I thought the price was too good to be true, $70 shipped (I thought it's like USDM) :-(
Thanks guys!!
