how to i get my antenna out? 91 crx
im trying to get my antenna out of my 91 crx si but i have no clue how. you cant just pull it out the top cause there is a wire that holds it in. if someone could tell me how it would help so much. im a picture learning person so if you have a picture explanation it would really help
just pull it out. that wire really isn't attached to anything. it's just a piece of thin metal that acts as a brace for the mass of the antenna.
a tip, if you are going to replace it. make sure to tie, tape or what ever to the other end of the antenna cable. that way you can just pull it back down later.

Yeah just unplug it from radio. It's a bitch, i had pictures and a very vague writeup before for someone on here from when I did mine 2 yrs ago. If u still need help tomorrow I'll find it for you when not on my iPhone. I actually doubt the pics are still hosted so I'll see what I can do.

I just removed my old one and reinstalled a new one on my 94 civic so can`t be much diffrent. I just unplugged it from the back of the radio and have one person pull it out while you stay under the dash to help feed it out so it doesn`t get caught on anything. That was the only problem I ran into. The cable was wrapped around other wires and such. I purchased a new one off of ebay cheap and works great. Good luck.

I had to feed it through from the top. My brother helped me. He fed it through from the roof through the piller and I stayed under the dash to grab the antenna cable. But I did have to remove the pillar trim to help it because it was getting snagged on some of the holes. Like I said that was on a 94 civic so may be a little diffrent. Took maybe 10 mins. Once you have the cable and the antenna installed on the roof you will need to just plug it back into the back of the radio and your good to go. Sorry for the crappy how to. Thats why I don`t write faqs lol.
