ZC swap in CRX...wont turn over
I bought this car for cheap, guy said all it needed was a distributor. Got one and put it in and it was cranking but not starting, I pulled a plug wire to check for spark but now its totally dead. Got 12 volts at the starter and the ground is good. Main relay clicks like its supposed to, but fuel pump wont come on. Could it be a bad coil or something? Any help would be much appreciated, as this is my first ZC motor.
sorry for my first post, i just read it again and it sounds confusing. It was turning over and not starting, but now its not turning over at all.
ok i looped the neutral safety switch now its starting but its not getting any fuel. The fuel pump is getting voltage and ive switched the main relay with 2 known good ones and the fuel pump still isnt coming on. Im guessing i should get another fuel pump?
so i got about 8.5 volts at the fuel pump. It stays at 8.5 until the relay clicks again, then goes to zero. Is the voltage to low to turn the pump? I wouldn't think so, but hey ive seen weirder things...Im going to take the pump out and straight wire it to 12v to see if it works
