Default JDM D15B With a z6 head question

Which cam gear do I use with this type of application? z6, y8 or adjustable? I have the first two. obviously if i had the d15b vtec head i'd use that instead of a z6 head, but when i got the motor it had a non vtec head on it and was rockin dpfi status. so i am making it have vtec again. i have read something about advancing the timing belt timing for teeth forward or something, but was just wanting to double check with the pro's.
