my lil bro wants to buy a 94 integra off his friend! over all its pretty beat but its only 500 bucks its a 5pd ls.. neways u turn the key and the car starts to take off! like its in gear even tho its in netural! what could be wrong? someone give me quick feed back so we know if its bad or can be fixed cheap so he has a car to get to work! thanks in advanced honda tech guys!

 

it was put into gear and the shift leakage broke so its stuck in gear

 

ok well!!! once u start the car and it takes off! u can still drive it and shift it into gears still? idk im confused. it cant be broken bc u can shift it?

 

Every gear works fine, except there is no neutral?? even reverse?

 

sychnro's in the trans could be bad i looked at a crx once and it had this same problem thats just my guess good luck

 

you said the car is pretty beat. maybe replace the transmission when you decide to buy it. transmission is not really expensive.

 

also the clucth can be going as well .best way to test is to put in to first and turn key to on and if jumps clutch is going! dont push in the cluch petal!

my 95 les had such a bad clutch that it would never disengage so it did that. threw a new clutch in it and it was fine...
