Default I want to add subs into my 09 Honda accord ex-l v6 sedan with navigaton?

Is it possible that i could just disconnect the stock sub and then connect 2 after market subs into it... I know i would need to get subs that are wired together to do this.. The car is leased, so i dont want to drop a lot of money since it will be going back sooner or later..

youll need a new amp. the stock wasnt meant to power 2 aftermarket subs,
im not 100% but i dont think the stock deck will have rcas, or a spot to run a amp lead off,
im sure someone that knows a bit more could help more

the stock deck doesnt have rca's you would need a hi low converter to get a signal for the amp.

I agree with the cleansweep but at 300 bucks vs 20 bucks for a hi low converter. I would go for the hi low converter.

Good luck on the install also you can tap for the remote wire off the cigarette lighter, or anything on accessory power.

^ thanks I think if we get good weather here this weekend and if my wires come in I will install this weekend! That what i was thinking of doing for the sub power, and i think while I am at it i am going to add a "sub turn off switch" my friend who is good with A/V is going to be mainly installing. I am just going to learn, and help out.

what do you think about this set-up

That's not a bad set up. You will lose some signal when you go through the high low converter, but there is nothing you can do about that. But installation is pretty easy if you have the factory sub because you can tab into those wires sense it already is sending just a low frequency to it.

yeah, i was going to install this weekend, but my plans were killed because of the rain, and my sub box did not show up.... but I got most of the wiring done, so basicly its all plug and play now.. but i think i want to change the location of the amp, its bigger than i thought it would be...

dude that is a terrrrrrrrrrible setup. for one that box is horrid...run far away from prefabs..for 2, you don't need a cap.

what is your budget?

Yeah, I know its not the best setup, but there is a reason why.... The car that this stuff is going into is LEASED. I am not giving it the top of the line set up, knowing that one day or another i am going to return the car. I allready know I will not buy it at the end... I want to make it simple mostly plug and play because its possible I might stay with the current lease, but switch to the new 2011 model if honda does changes.

Also, I allready changed the box to a better one, around 140 bucks.

And i dont want to shake the whole car and bang out... I just want somthing to hit every know and then.... And I know i dont need it but im adding the cap for saftey, and i am getting it for basicly free.

just do a basic little system ehh around like 1300. something simple. and when you do return the car just take all your equipment off and slap on the stock stuff back on.

all right guys, After doing some home work, I figured out that the package above is not so great. So I just returned it all, the box never came, and the amp I got from a friend and The subs i bought but didnt open so they are going back. I am just installing this...

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218122000634

The price is very reasonable, it has an amp and box included so that gets it done.

The total cost.

Subs + amp + box = 310.00
Cap= Free
Wiring= 40.00
filling up my friends gas tank for installing and for the free cap and other misc. stuff - 40.00

--------------------------------
about 400 bucks. were still in depression you know so F the $ on subs.

licence plate frame was free.

The padding, and the wiring is all done, just need to pick up my subs + box + amp and do the plug and play part.
