Default D15B Setup Rods Question

Hi all,

I have a crx JDM D15B with some parts like 560cc Injectors ,0.50 A/R ebay turbo, P07 pistons, FMIC, stock head tunned for me on crome with LM-1 Wideband.

My best 1/4 time is 13.352@14 psi full interior, i am very happy. lol

My trouble is the that i bought a kit of Magnitude H-Beam for D16, i know that they are the same rods for my engine but i am looking that they have 77mm on the bottom part and my pistons sleeves are 75mm.

I cant put the rod in.
Are they for B18A,B or what is wrong ?

Thanks for your help.

you have to grind clearance into the block so the forged rods don't hit the block.

??? the big end of the rod rides on the crank and doesn't go up into the cylinder, so thats not an issue.

my bad. sorry.

Well, D16's, D15z and B18a/b all have the same rod length of 5.393" but the big ends (48mm) tells you its a B18a/b rod.

I think that, but the rods have 19mm wrist ping, not 21mm as LS Rods.

the old tt rods were the same way.
you only have 3 options, take your pick.
1. sell them and buy eagle/scat rods that work.. (what i would do)
2. have a machine shop shave them to fit (what people did w/ old tt rods)
3. send the block off to get 77mm sleeve (expensive)

I will go in the first option.

Thanks.
