Icon3 SERIOUS alignment/camber issues. need help soon this is my DD!

everyday i drive my car it gets worse. i have an 88 crx dx and when i bought it it had the following set up: this obviously less valuable version of a traction bar, and from what i was told some old skunk2 lowering springs in the front. first off i got ripped off on this car. after extensive work i finally dropped the motor back in 5 days ago. when i first got the car and drove it i realized the passenger side bracket for the traction bar that bolts to the frame was BROKE. so i had midas weld it for me for a temp. fix. along with that came a new right front hub bearing and they aligned everything as best they could. they also said it n eed a front upper right balljoint. i drove it like that for 1 day, then the motor problems punched me in the face too. now here i am,. motor back in, runnin strong. and the alignment gets worse everytime i drive it. the camber is freaking horrible. and everytime i press on the brakes, the tires start to rub fender (thats what i think that sound is). when i punch it around corners, as i did a couple times before the noises scared me, it feels like the car is running over bumps/vibrating. maybe its a binding noise? idk. all i know is i cant drive the car like this anymore. i have college to go too with this car and this my DD so i needa fix it quick. most of all i do not wanna die when a tire flies off. this camber is bad. and no the traction bar hasnt broken again.

im looking for the cheapest, simplest way to fix my problem. cuz i am broke as a joke. no lie. please help me lol. thanks for your time..

okay ive got 2 diff answers here. the right hub bearing is brand new pretty much. and also by upper control arms do you mean a camber kit?

what about just finding some stock CRX coils for the front and bringing it back to stock ride height? try and fix cambe that way. and then get rid of that stupid traction bar... but what is in place of that traction bar on a stock CRX? what does it look like?

trade springs with someone on craiglist if posible that will get your camber up and if your balljoint is messed up that will give you alot of drivability problems since that is one part that A. supports the body and B. keeps the tire from wobbling as you are going down the road. it will probally be more cost eficiant if you buy ebay uper a arm that adjust and maybe come coilover sleeves to adjust ride eight and camber

sorry. i was mistaken. haha totally my bad.

so i think i will just buy a camber kit off ebay? with new upper a arms and adjustable ball joints. you think that would fix the problem? if so, can anybody recommend a good kit? im not super rich but i also dont wanna end up with a ghetto kit that breaks.

this is the cheapest one id find, but it looks like the way you adjust the ball joints that they sould slide and this would just be crappy. this one here

you dont need a camber kit. buy yourself some replacement upper control arms, lower ball joints and get a alignment and have them set your toe to 0. hit up www.rockauto.com for good prices.

ef2 pimp!? what are you saying? Is a camber kit itself... nothing but "NEW" control arms. Just with the luxury of setting your spindle in and out, therefor
"ADJUSTING" the "CAMBER" of ones car. Hence the name **ADJUSTABLE CAMBER KIT** Why spend money to buy stock and raise the car back up (BIG NO NO) #UGLY# ,,think of the fender gap,, when you can spend the same money on the rhino kit. maybe we can all call 'em (adjustable camber arms) and you could understand he'd be gettin upper control arms, ball-joints, and there adjustable for the price and leave his car on the ground.

btw buddy that posted, enough just isn't enough. even after *ACK* a slammed honda blows shocks quick. If you really want the best out of the camber kit u need a set of adjustable coilovers instead of just lowered springs. ***(THE CAMBER KIT CAN ONLY FIX 2 DEGREES +/-)***

your sentence structure is horrible and hard to understand...you dont need a camber kit on a dd and it would be just a waste of money...!!!

your an idiot. Ive been researching and trying suspension setups for years now. Ive installed 20+ suspension setups, 5 alone on one of my cars.

OP You DO NOT need a camber kit, its a waste of money and only good for racers who know how to adjust the angle and degree of the tire for the best traction possible.

If you have Coilovers raise them up, if you have lowering springs and are too low for you, get a less drop spring, or a set of GOOD coilovers.

As for the traction bar, i would just rip that **** off and install an OEM one for now since its just a DD. If your upper balljoints are shot, pick up a new set of UCAs from www.rockauto.com. Install everything and get an alignment. Have your toe set to 0 and you have the best ride for a DD.
