Painting Front Bumper HELP!!!
Sup guys,
Well money is tight and I cant see myself bringing my front bumper to meico or wherever to spend 100$ something to get it painted. Whats the best quality cost efficient way I can go about doing this without it looking to sketchy.
2 cans of primer for starters?
Is spray paint the only way to go about doing this it seems?
I have a 99 silver civic lx sedan btw if that helps ; )

do you have a spray gun/air compressor? just go buy a quart of rusto and thin it with mineral spirits and spray it.
... if you dont, and youre going to rattle can it, buy the cans that are made for cars and spray out like a spray gun so you wont get paint lines.

thanks for the reply! If and when I do this (which will be soon) I think Im going to start with an estimate from meico. For the bottom line paintjob lol Im not looking for anything crazy, just to freshen up my DD
For painting stuff like bumpers, youll need some sort of flex agent in the paint to keep it from cracking. Your not gonna get that in a spray can unless you buy stuff for model cars and stuff like that. Plus even if the spray paint have a flex agent in it, youll never match up the paint with the rest of the car. Best thing to do, if you want it to look good is to take it to a shop and have them paint it or have them match the paint code and mix up the correct color and add a flex agent in it.
