Intake, what the heck is going on?
I just received a short ram intake used through ebay. It has NO instructions, I have no idea what the hell I am doing. I have a '94 Accord, can anyone guide me through the process, with pictures possibly? I really don't want to f$ck up my car. I have the tube, one hose, two clamps and rubber bumper/sleeve type thing. Please help!
If you need directions to hook up the intake, you haev major problems. But basically you remove all the plastic junk that comes before the throttle body, and replace it with the stuff you got.
What you do is remove all the black stuff that is infront of the throttle body and the hose that is connected to the stock airbox. You also remove the large black box under the car that is connected to the stock air box. Finally, you clamp the new intake using the rubber connecter and clamps to the throttle body. That hose you removed then connects to the intake. Any sensors that are connected to the stock airbox is not needed. I have one that isnt connected to anything anymore. Hope this helps.
Hehe i did the same thing last nite for the 1st time and trust me i know almost nothing about engines took me 20 min easiest thing i had to do well other than hooking up stereo. And it's loud as a **** love it

well i want to make reinstalling the factory box as easy as possible, so can I just put in the new intake and leave the big black thing underneath the car there?
So once and for all, can I do the install on my 94 Accord without removing anything besides the factory airbox and connecting pipe? Or is there more to it?
at the throttle body, untighten the o-clamp hooking the tube into the tb.
get some pliers and " pinch " the oil cooling tube out.
on the air intake box, theres like 4 screws on each side holding it down, get a long ratchet extension and unscrew the ones down in the front and get the 2 screws on the front fender " hump "
pull the intake out.
then you can probably figure out the rest.

Link this http://www.injen.com/webpages/intake.../is/is1600.jpg and just try to get yours to fit like that. But refer to hybrid theory's link for removal. Once you get it out it is really simple. Good luck
Do i need to remove the box underneath the car for a short ram intake? I do not have a cold air.
What did you guys do with the black tube and box attached to the bottom of the main pipe?? It had a bunch of wires and stuff running into it and had two bolts of different sizes holding it down.

c'mon this is as simple as it gets.
