Quick question about boosted ls "I've searched"
So over the next month I will be finishing up my boosted integra ls. I'm running a precision sc32 or sc34 turbo plus all the other stuff 3" exhaust 2.5 ic piping big rc injectors ect ect. Car will be managed on chrome and hybrid dynamics in Pa will be tuning it for me. I'm aiming for around 280 whp range. Anyways my question is how much power will a bone stock ls hold safely? Absolutely nothing done to it except a custom turbo kit. It will be driven almost everyday and it's gonna get beat on hard. I'm figuring I'll have to push 12psi to make these numbers but from what I'm reading 10psi is the safe range and that will only make around 250. Thanks,Adam
It all depends on how healthy the motor is before you boost it and how well they tune it.
Check the motor do a compression test, leak down etc make sure it is healthy before you boost it. If your rings are going bad now, when you boost it will get worse much faster when you boost the car.

Motor only has 89,400 miles from an automatic 2001 integra ls. So I'm pretty sure it's healthy. It's going in the car tomorrow so I will do a compression test after I'm done.
People have done 300(+) whp on stock LS's quite frequently (the "safe" range rule of thumb for stock LS motors). I have the same turbo you have (sc-34), and I love it. It spools rather quickly, reaching maximum pressure around 4k, and it made 304 whp @ 14 psi. With an efficient setup, a healthy motor, and a reputable tuner, you'll achieve that with no hiccups. Good luck.
Dennis is a good tuner but he just likes to be on the safe side of things when he tunes a car. I'm basing my setup off my friends car and his little brothers that he built. Stock ls on 10lbs=250whp and lil bro's car is stock gsr on 10lbs=330whp
But hey, nothing's wrong with 280 whp, dont get me wrong. Just wanted to add clarification to your original question, and 300 whp seems to be the hot ticket for stock LS's safety wise. Mine has been seeing that power for two years with absolutely zero problems.
Tell me about it, how could you have missed THAT thread if you searched, lol! Anyway good luck, bro.

I agree with these guys. 300whp is EASILY acheivable with the right setup and a healthy motor. My friend is at 345 right now on a BONE STOCK LS. That motors been alive and daily driven for over two years now.
Anyways thanks to the people who actually helped me out with information on the question I asked. I just wanted to make sure I was going to be safe at 280ish. Now I just have to convince Dennis that he can push the motor that far and not to worry about it.
