save me from the darkside!!!
i have been saving up for a long time to get my own itr and now that i have the money for it.... Im thinking about getting an EVO instead.... im so ashamed. someone convince me to stay with the itr before its too late!
EVO's are nice and all, but straight out of the box i don't find them that terribly appealing. The looks are awesome but for as talked up as they are them seem a bit over-rated to me. To get it to the point of where it's as fast as alot of the other EVO's around is going to take a TON of money, once you get past a ton of money and extensive work, now you're breaking stuff. After all, it's just a really really expensive DSM.
Drive an ITR, that's all the decision making you will have to do.

So I take it you wouldn't be buying a new evo since they would more than double the price you can get an ITR for. Correct? With an Evo, you won't have to worry about theft so much. If you would rice it out, then definitely buy an evo. Go test drive them both. Spend your money how you want to as they said!

I always wanted an EVO. Every time I went to take the plunge, the test drive made me change my mind. The car was great, I just didn't feel right and comfortable in it. I was testing out the 08 and then the 09mr back then.
ITR>EVO when it comes to the gas pump...

a little ot from the post but
evos are not dsm's
this is my opinion so idc what people have to say.. i hate EVO's!!! ftw!!! i've never liked their looks.. never thought they were fast for a turbo car.. i mean track wise.. some hit 14's.. thats turbo..itr's 14's n/a. compare that.. whats more impressive?? idk just me though. i never thought an evo looked good. the body was never a sport look to me.. but thats my opinion. for u.. its ur money.. spend it on what u want and on what u'll be satisfied with in the end.

I've said it once . . . and I'll say it again . . . Don't let the internet forum warriors make up your mind for you. Go with your gut instinct. Make sure and do your research. Drive both if possible. Think about what direction you want to go with the car. They are two very different types of cars, so it should be easy to make a decision once you've decided what you want to do with your next car.
Always wanted an Evo but I'd never give up my R for one. Even if it ran a 9 sec 1320. I'm not saying get an R over an Evo but think it over well and then make your decision. GL.
Evo= more expensive, less rare, faster, more work to repair
Type-R=less expensive, more rare, slower, less work to repair (more fun to drive)
Thats my 2 cents-I see no reason to choose anything other than Honda/Acura

Id say it depends where ur located and what ur planning on doing with the car..socal dd..hell no to itr..I like ITR's waaayyy better but id be scared to own one out here in cali..i think evos have good warranties also, u most likely be paying less on insurance cause its a sedan..idk lots of things to consider..gl finding an all original itr w/ low mileage and a clean title and all, as is ofcourse to no warranty...But GL with ur decision man...i think a true honda enthusiast would go with the itr tho, and ur on h-t so ur probably an enthusiast..u will be driving an itr in no time..lol

IMO, if its a daily driver I say get the EVO. if its a weekend warrior, i say get the R
good luck
