for removing features that save you money on insurance and increase safety of the motoring public.

While you are at it remove your anti lock brakes, seat belts and your air bags.

Pull fuse #37.

I didn't like the look of it when I first had the car, so I pulled it. But after seeing so many 8th gens on the road with the DRLs, I started to like it, so I got some yellow Nokyas and put the fuse back in.

I don't know, though. I tend to feel that Kidnkorner lives in a fantasy world. That, or he is just pullin our leg.

"Don't change your oil for 60,000 miles"
"Don't pay attention to the ECU"
"Abuse your synchros"
"The insurance companies give you discounts for no reason"

I heard that the insurance companies give you a discount for having larger rims than stock. Something to do with there then being less rubber needed to produce tires, and how it is good for the environment.

I kid, I kid.

;P

I love how you exaggerate things I have said.

I never said 60,000 miles. I said with Amsoil Signature Series Oil an owner can extend their drain interval for 1 year. I have several customers set up on this and I have sent their oil out for analysis confirming the extended drain.

Where did I say don't pay attention to the ECU?

Abuse your syncrhos? Because I don't rev match to down shift a synchronized transmission is synchro abuse.

DRL's are a safety feature and Insirance companies such as Geico, State Farm, and Progressive do give you some discount if your vehicle is so equipped.

You are really pulling stuff out of your *** aren't you? It's no wonder why your car was towed, you are a tool.

Damn. I think when i had geico it they didnt lower mine at all for having DRLs. I swithched from the 2005 scion tc to the 2007 si and my insurance went up a little. I recently switched to lslsfdsfkljk i forget who (Brain Fart) and my insurance dropped but never did they ask if the car had DRL's nor did I kno that it would help the insurance.

While the discount is minuscule, there is a discount nonetheless.

Your constant craving for attention is one of the things that makes me read this forum. You have to be 100% correct about everything and know more than everyone don't you? Lol.

So see insurance rep, get the supposedly lower rate, pull fuse #37, replace if ever need to see him/her.

Lol, anyway, still new and it's too late to go outside and look, but by pulling this fuse, does this just defeat the DRL and leave the highbeams operating as normal? ...or does this defeat the entire highbeam function?

...because I live an a condo complex. I'd like to shut the lights off just before pulling into my stall because I finish work pretty darn late. I know if I were sleeping on the downstairs couch for whatever reason (good or bad), I get pretty irked by people coming home with their light blazing through my curtains when they turn into their stalls. I don't like it, so I'm not going to blaze my neighbors, ...Golden Rule.

Besides, not even the first two days with the Si last week, and twice people almost hit me. Once nearly on the Interstate on the way home from the dealership and the second time someone cutting late into a left turn lane that I was already pulling into. So wtf, not like the DRL's helped! I think it gives more (over)confidence to other drivers thinking they can better judge where your car is to cut you off. Without the DRL's, they still see you, but they have to look harder to know where exactly you're at.

So that's why...

Btw, got it done soon as their was light outside. Ha, pretty easy find.

...and what the heck is with these micro sized freakin fuses?! Anyone know if these 'Add-A-Circuit' fuses would fit? I'll be using these soon as I start the mods.

those things are great use them all the time installing 2way radios. The big problem with them is the price.
The manufacture dose make them for the standard and mini atc size fuse I dont know if they are avil for the super mini fuses. havent looked at the fuses in the new car but if they are like what i think they might be then no that fuse tap will not work
