H22 EF vs. H22 EG
1. You are asking a vague question because they are two different platforms and we do not know what your plans are.
2. The EG is not in this forums expertise.

either one of the two will be a hassle to mount the motor in. reguardless. ther eg has already been done, and is kind of outdated. the ef has tight corners, wiring is almost extinct. BUT, it is light weight, can be uPgraded, and would be one fast *** little sum bish when done.

This site has VERY good info for a h22 in a EF. Has videos and even gives a comparison to an EG and EF with a H22.
Less hassle? The EG because it has more room, already obd1, don't need to convert it to MPFI. If you are worried about possible hassles, you might want to get rid of the EF then.

I would swap it into the EG if you want an "easier" swap. I swapped my h23a into my 91 si and it was a son of a bitch. explicitspeedperformance.net makes a swap kit for either and its a great kit. Physically getting it into the car is the hardest part, wiring and is similar and just needs some extension, and a obd0-obd1 jumper. Either way have fun with it, EF or EG, both will be fast.
I have done them in both chassis, I'd never ever do one in an ef again. Right now I'm hitting 12's all motor in my eg, yeah the ef would be faster but not by a bunch, not enough to make me forget about how much of a bitch it is to put in an ef . No clearance at all.

Your questions are too vague. The Ef has a lighter chassis so it could theoretically aid you in your quest for quickness.
