I have the F22A1 motor in my car. I was wondering if i got the A6 intake manifold do I need the A6 ECu?

If you want the secondary butterflies (IAB) to run via electronic control, then yes you need the PT6. However, if you remove the secondary butterflies or run them with a mechanical/vacuum, then you won't need the PT6 ECU.

 

You can also add the A6 cam since it's a bit more aggresive: which means you can use the pt6 at it's potential.

 

so A6 cam PT6 ECU to make A6 manifold fit cook. any wiring need to be done?

 

If your going to run the PT6 you could wire up the IAB solenoid. The wire runs from the solenoid to Pin A17 on the PT6 ECU. Other than that remember your ground connections.

 

I have the same motor and doing the same thing and was just wondering if you remove the second set of flaps on the intake manifold would you still get the normal preformance out of it. And also can I swap out a prelude ecu from a f22a1 and do better than the accord ecu
