Honda Prelude All Model Preludes

Anyone replaced the balance shaft bearings.

JUst wondering how much of a chores it is.

why bother? ive had a few preludes and i took the balance shaft belts off all of them. there is no difference as far as i can tell. they have nothing to do with engine life, they are there to reduce vibration in the floor or gas pedal...
anyway, the crankshaft has to come out to get to them...and the motor has to come out of the car to slide the balance shafts out the front. pretty much not worth it.

No I'm doing a rebuild, engine is on a stand. From the looks of things it reminds me of a chevy v8 cam bearings. Working on trying to find the right tools.

oh i see..my motor is also on a stand right now hehe. getting the main bearing girdle off can be frustrating but other than that i cant really help since ive never messed with the B shaft bearings. but it shouldnt be that hard, just a matter of unbolting right? or do you have to get to the bearings through the hole in the front of the motor?? that would suck...
