aftermarket seat fitiment on rsx
looking to upgrade to some better seats ( reclinable ) than the stock leathers in my Type-S. I know the OEM recaro's would fit and be ideal. great but does anyone have any experience with any other seat set-up in this chassis ?
i like the height of the stock seat, but what other seat / rail combo's are about the same ?
Any good advice and / or pics would be appreciate

Bride, Sparco, Momo... just to name a few but to be honest once you try a set of Recaro's you'll never look back! Trust me on that one I speak from experience!!!!
im not so much worried about how comfortable they are as to how they fit in the car, seat height wise, do they hit the door panels, do the top of the seats sit really high in the car and look out of place ?
ive sat in a ton of seats at SEMA, and have owned a set of OG bride brix's.
as for the Kat Von D reference, i dont give a crap about fixing my "profile" on here or whatever.
I'd like to get some work done by Josh Woods to be honest. color FTW.

The most comfortable seat out there (hands down, in my opinion) are the Autobacs ASM Recaros. They do custom color and upholstery, whatever you like. They are absolutely the most comfortable seats I've sat in my life. The ASM Recaro buckets are more comfortable than my Bride Ergo II reclinables. However, they start $1300 each.
If you need help sourcing ASM Recaros, just shoot me a PM. I can (or have contacts) that can get anything from Japan, especially the stuff nobody can get (BYS, M&M, J's, Feel's, Jun, etc...).
If you need custom rails/brackets/sliders, Wedge Engineering can take care of you. I've worked with them a number of times to get ASM Recaros fitted into an Evo VIII, X, and Eclipse GSX.

seats are relative to your body. i suggest you sit in the seat you want to buy before you buy it. skinny people don't work well in sparco's. fat people don't work well in recaros.
I am not skinny... i have an extra couple of pounds and didn't have any problems with my Recaro's. I am around 250 and 6 feet tall. Not a small boy lol
my cousin has the mugen S1's in his s2k and a good amount of people haven't been able to fit in his seats. I'm 5'9 145 and if i weighed 30 pounds more, i probably wouldn't be able to fit in those seats.
seems like you weren't able to understand coherent sentences, so there you go.
if it's a question regarding fitament, go measure the oem seats. that will be roughly the size you can work with.
so lyk maybe umm go try many seat okay good. why so hard understand you ask iono maybe he know.

i am able to understand coherent sentences, it IS a question regarding fitiment, HENCE THE THREAD TITLE.
which is why i was wondering different seat / rail setups and how they fit in the chassis. not on how my *** is gonna feel in them. smart ***. nobody even reads the questions posted anymore. everyone just see the word seat, and replies non relative information.
this forum has became useless in the past 3 years unless you wanna know what new Uber cool Rotas are out

Better is relative. We gave you suggestions, but you simply didn't care for them. We answered your questions, but we simply didn't give you the answer you were looking for.
I guess I have to reword my previous answer so that community college rejects can understand.
Here is a step by step process of what you need to do.
1. Go sit in a bunch of seats and find the one that fits you the best. Why do you do this? Because you're going to be the one sitting in this seat while you're driving and since HT is nice, we don't want you to regret your purchase because of an seat that doesn't match the shape of your body.
2. Take some tape measure that can easily found at walmart, home depot, lowes, etc and measure the dimensions of the OEM type-s seat.
3. Now that you have done 1 and 2, you go back and look at the seats that were comfortable and you go to the manufacturer's website and they should provide you with measurements of their seat including seat height and width with their seat rails.
4. You go and find a place that sells the seat and seat rail and you hand them your credit card, debit card, check, money order, cashier's check, or federal notes and you buy your seat and seat rails.
5. You log back on HT so I can call you out on asking stupid questions.
6. So, what new uber cool rotas are out?
