B16A swap: steering knuckles and hubs from a CRX DX
OK, while searching for this information about the knuckles and hubs I need, I'm getting two conflicting answers. I'm hoping someone can confirm one way or another:
http://www.jdmuniverse.com/forums/ho...sion-help.html
This thread talks about using the CRX DX knuckles and hubs with the integra axles. Can anyone confirm that this will work? If so, I was going to go ahead and push in new front wheel bearings, replace the ball joints, and check (and potentially replace) the steering rack and tie rod depending on whether or not they are the cause of my slight vibration problem at highway speeds. I haven't done the swap yet, but I think these parts are going to need attention soon and was thinking of doing them now to sort of spread out the workload.
I don't want to do the work twice, however, so if I can't use the knuckles and hubs from my DX, then that will affect my decision as to how to proceed with the front hub/wheel bearing/ball joints, etc.
Thoughts?
Thanks for any help you can give.

i think std and hf knuckles are the only ones you cant use..
dx, ex, si, da, all work fine..
people say da throws off the geomtry of the suspension but other people say its fine, but your call
personally i would use your dx ones..if nt ill buy em..lol
always get an alignment after and get it checked a few months later just incase
edit i just readthat jdmu thread...camber isnt as bad as everyone thinks on tires..dont get me wrong its def not good but incorrect toe is what will kill i mean kill your tires..camber kits wont help if your toe is off..most people think they need a camber kit then when they go get it aligned after the install the alignment shop fixes the toe in or out as well then the problem is solved..
lol sorry this wasnt even a question but i figured it would come next..oh this is refering to the da knuckles btw

Thanks. This is a relief. Some of the "swap guides" for the B16 say you need to use the 'Teg knuckles and hubs, and then some threads on various forums hint or say that you don't need them. If I can use my existing parts, I will. I guess that simplifies things for me, which is good.

i dont know what the specs are for the sides to vary from but no camber wont eat your tires up like people say. toe is the killer..i culd be hella wrong but i dont think a few degrees off on your camber would hurt it i doubt youll be able to tell between one or two degrees
but if you have both front knuckles the same then your camber should be the same

I used my DX knuckles for a few months with no problems. Took out the dust ring from the knuckle/hub and it fit like no problem.
yeah they work. DA WILL throw off your caster angle (from what I have heard) and yes HF and STD has smaller holes or different splines.
i never heard anything about the caster i was always warned about the camber...
idk
op try it and tell us..then sell me your dx knuckles! lol

haha you really want those DX knuckles don't you?
...but to el vap...why did you only use them for a few months? Did you sell the car or...?
I may throw up a build thread when I get ready to do the swap (probably won't be until Dec --> *thumbs down*), but not sure yet. There's so many of them, aren't there?
