rear quater panel removal installation
first off ide like to say hi. secndly i currently own a 95 del sol S. blowen d15. auto tranny. i found a 95 del sol for like 500 bucks. runs. has motor. 5 spd tranny. but the passanger side was tboned? wrecked for sure. but dont know how hard it would be to replace the rear quater panel since it runs up and is such a big panel. my del sol is wreck on drivers side. so i could just as easly swap everything over to mine. but thing it would be much easier to swap to the new one since i have all the passanger panels and the moto and tranny r in it
If you have to ask, your answer is: Take it to a body shop. Besides the quarters making the car look better, they are also there for structural integrity. They don't just bolt on; you have to cut them off and weld or panel bond them back on. It's not something for a beginner at all.
honda quarter panels are held on using plug welds at the seems and that plastic bond crap.
you must drill out all the plug welds and pry it out of all the plastic bond ****.... its hours and hours and hours and hours of work.

you said they are nto removeable without cutting and they are part of the unibody.
both of those statements are incorrect.
theres no cutting, just drilling ;-)
and they are not part of the unibody

cutting = drilling, you can cut things that need to be drilled, and you can drill things that need to be cut.
the qp's go all the way down to the rocker panels, and the rockers are part of the unibody.

ok so sounds like i have my work cut out for me.. but i dont need to buy new ones. i have two good ones off my other del sol. driver and passager. and all i need to replace is the passager side. so its only removing two panels and putting one back on.. as far as the door and front fender i know how to remove and put them back on. so. thats no issuse. so in your opion(s) would it be easier to remove the old panel on the new sol. and put my old panel on it. rather then swao out motor tranny. and driver side panels?
