Default Shifter feel still sucks!

I decided to put new shifter bushings on cause I got tired of all the play I had and not knowing what gear I was in by looking at the shifter. After I finished I noticed that it still sucks! Its still doing the same thing, I can get underneath the car with it in gear and and move the shift linkage side to side, could this be something to do with the tranny or where the short shifter sits?

Check the linkage, look for the pin that is in the linkage that connects to the trans. If someone put a nut and bolt in there for easy removal, this is why the linkage is sloppy.

Also check to make sure the stablizer, the one with the concave washer, make sure that is the proper bolt and the washer is on there correctly, this will also cause sloppy linkage.

Where the bitch pin goes there is a nut and bolt for easy removal, how would that effect anything? How does that work?

The bot wont be in there nearly as tight as the roll pins would be so that little bit of slop translates to a lot at the end of a 5" shifter.

All the play comes from either not having the spring pin in the coupler, the ball seat, or the Joint bushings wearing out.

Is that pin dealer only, or can I go to any parts store?

I am not sure but I think it is a #7 spring Pin. BUT! I always get them at the Parts Dealer. Like 5 bux.
