I bought a 94 Honda civic and my dome light isnt working nor does it beep when the door is open and key is in the ignition. Its a DX model so its all manual no aftermarket keyless entry or anything like that. I pulled the switch off at the roof and everything looks to be par. I cant find out what the problem is. From what I have researched there isnt a dome fuse and have checked all of the fuses in the panel and everything is fine. The only thing I know put on the far that is not factory is HID headlights that the previous owner has installed. I have bought new bulbs, replaced fuses, done all that I know to do and still no luck. Does anyone else know anything else I can try on this car.

Things I have seen in other posts about this subject is:

will switch work if you switch to on?
No..

Does trunk dome work?
Used to when I fist bought the car now it doesnt.

Keyless entry wired wrong?
No keyless..

Maybe some of that will help idk..

Dome light, trunk light, and key-on reminder - Replace 7.5A fuse #3 under the dash with a known good fuse.

if that don't do it then pull out a volt meter and start checking for continuity, could be a shorted/ open wire!
