Anyone know where APR gets those mounts for their carbon mirrors?

i dont want overpriced carbon fiber stuff, but i found a nice set of motorcycle mirrors that look 99% like the APRs only in black.
but i still need a way to mount them to the door. i am betting APR found that mount on a shelf somewhere, but i cant find anything similar using google.
anyone have any ideas?

Call or e-mail Peter at APR (sales@aprperformance.com or 909-594-3796). I've ordered a couple of replacement parts for mine from him, so I'd imagine that they might just sell you the mounts. Hey, it's worth a try!

i actually did a "contact us" form on their page asking how much they would sell me just the mounts, since i wanted to use my own mirrors, and didnt get a response, it has been over 2 days so i figured that meant "no"
do you remember how much you paid for the mounts themselves?

WOW... $170? jesus... i know a guy that has manufacturing connections in china. based on the pictures i sent him, he said they'd cost roughly $15 each.
only problem is they would need $3000 start-up for molds.
and... well.. i would put money on APR & craftsquare already having a supplier that is doing the same thing.
most likely.
the base is actually the most expensive part.
if you want I am selling my brand new apr mirror complete set for 240

I'm running the APR mirrors and IMO you can just fab mounts out of billet aluminium. If you have access to a water jet cutter it'd be fast, if you don't, elbow grease, a reciprocating saw and a grinder should get you close. The gasket could be cut out of a rubber backed mouse pad. I'm lazy so I just bought the damn things.
Buying a complete set might not be a bad idea. I'm sure someone could use the mirrors if theirs are worn, stolen or broken.

friend's miata. he just cut an oval out of CF, made an aluminum backing plate for extra strength, and bolted it to the door. used some neoprene gasket material to seal it from water.
using motorcycle mirrors i referenced in the 1st post. looks ****ing slick to me
