Default brake causing bad idle

my idle is really bouncy and i only notice at stop signs. so i put it in neutral in a flat parking lot with the ebrake off and my foot off the brake. the idle stayed steady, as soon as i touched the pedal it would start jumping again then i let off and it stays steady again. what is causing this? also if i back out of my driveway and hold the brake it when i let off the ebrake then let go and near the bottom i push in the brake again it wont work good at all.

im pretty sure you either have a vaccum leak at the brake booster, or your brake master cylinder is leaking fluid.

is the master cylinder or the booster the one right up at the right near the back of the engine bay?

both of them are on your fire wall. the big black thing is the booster, which creates vacuum, and the master cylinder has liquid in it, its supposed to disperse fluid to all parts of the braking system. if its leaking around where it meets the booster, its faulty, or loose.

thanks how do i check them? i checked the brake fluid in the master cylinder and its on max so it probably isnt leaking, checked the vac hose that goes to the booster and it didnt have any holes or sign of wear, looks like it was recently replaced.
