Default T3/T4 Banks turbo

Any thoughts? I'm thinking about picking up a Banks T3/T4 turbo .68 hot side and .70 intake. I have a B18A1 LS with a wore out Garrett Super60

You'll need to measure the wheels on it, but from the measurements of that, it sounds like a straight T4. Banks is a great company that deals with a lot of "EPA Special" diesel applications. They use LARGE turbos for BIG purposes. This should only be your option if you plan to seriously build the engine. On a straight LS, you may not like it, but its best to understand what power you want, and how it will respond to your needs.

Measure those wheels first (I'm sure its posted on their site), then make a decision.

So this turbo would not be a good choice on a daily driver? I'm not looking to make a monster, maybe around 275-300hp. What size turbo should i look for? I have a stock ls motor, RC 440's, chipped ecu, 2 1/2 exhaust

Again, you need to measure the actual wheels and post the measurements to be certain, but from the looks of what you've stated so far, its rather big. Especially on a stock engine.

The size should be MUCH smaller, like in the T3/T04B or T04E range under 58mm inducer (like 57trim, 50 trim, or GT3251B) to get the most out of that stock engine, for about 250whp and 200ft/lbs of torque on 91-93octane gas on most daily drivable street applications. Now you have to ask yourself... "what's my budget to spend on a turbo?"

Again, I don't know your specific needs, but based upon the other equipment that you listed, these are the most logical choices that can be used. I am concerned about your "chipped" ecu, as it may not be enough for fuel management to work with a turbocharged setup. Base maps, are simply those; enough to get to the tuner.
