BAD CLUTCH!????
so can any one give me a brief description on the symptoms of a bad clutch on cable tranny? the reason im asking is cuz i have a b16 and i was at the track the other night running my car, and the first run was fine, but the second run, when i would rev my engine to launch, after releasing clutch the car bogged from 6K rpm to about 2K rpm, when normally it just goes up and i take off., it kept doing the next 2 runs, so is stopped and just watched other cars, I tried on an open street to see if it was maybe the track and nope it did it again. car never did this. idk if its a motor problem or maybe my clutch. thanks for help
When a clutch ends up going bad, it will slip, like say you take off, the engine will kind of free rev to an extent. Also when shifting into any other gears instead of grabbing it will rev up even when you have the clutch fully disengaged.
Is it bogging and then going as normal or does it continue to bog? I would check the timing if it continues to bog to make sure you didn't jump a tooth or anything.

no i checked timing and its fine, it runs good when i drive it normally, only when i launch does it do that. i noe in an auto trans, when it slips, car kind of stutters a bit or shakes when u are driving, besides engine freely revvin any other symptoms when just driving it like on the freeway or so on manual trans?
When the clutch goes out, it just constantly slips like you partially have your foot on the clutch where it's half engaged and half disengaged. That is really the only symptom of a bad clutch I can think of.
Are you just dumping the clutch at 6k? or are you slipping it so you don't spin and get a good launch? What kind of clutch and pressure plate setup do you have?

I'm starting to think its not a clutch issue and maybe a timing issue, cuz this all started at same time, car began to misfire and car feels like it doestn have power....and no I normally do whjat I was taught as "pre-loading" so that I don't snap my axles, I don't slip clutch off slowly I noe that burns it bad,
