Default BAD CLUTCH!????

so can any one give me a brief description on the symptoms of a bad clutch on cable tranny? the reason im asking is cuz i have a b16 and i was at the track the other night running my car, and the first run was fine, but the second run, when i would rev my engine to launch, after releasing clutch the car bogged from 6K rpm to about 2K rpm, when normally it just goes up and i take off., it kept doing the next 2 runs, so is stopped and just watched other cars, I tried on an open street to see if it was maybe the track and nope it did it again. car never did this. idk if its a motor problem or maybe my clutch. thanks for help

The clutch wouldn't cause what you're describing. Your motor is having a problem with torque. Check & clean the ignition and grounds.

Sorry, to answer your question a bad clutch that is still disengaging properly can cause the motor to rev when you press the gas without moving the car much. It can also cause stuttering, vibration and make the vehicle lurch forward repeatedly.

Ok yea I think its a timing issue now cuz car feels like it has no power, and stutters a bit on the free ways and misfires at idle

no im not throwing a CEL.... i checked timing again and its good... ok so i noticed its intermittent, meaning it doesnt do it all the time, runs pretty good when its cold, when its warm it definitely runs like crap, it kind of shakes and stutters a bit when im on the freeway, now that i remember, when i was assembling the motor, i broke the tip of an injector, can that be it?

could be an injector cus if it was misfire in the cylinders it would cause CEL. does the engine hella hesitate and when you give it more gas then it frees up?

well my engine hesitated and it was misfire in cylinder 2 and 4 because my spark plugs and wires were so bad but when you have misfire it usually throws a CEL. since you dont have any CEL i would think it could be the clogged injector. if i were you i would try changine the plugs and wires first cus its cheaper and a good tune up anyways and if its still doin that then change the injector out

what kind of ecu are you running, stock or chipped? if its stock then it should throw a cel, have you checked all your fuses and your grounds?
