So I recently swapped my '00 GSR for a '99 GSR in better condition.. Still in the process of cleaning it up.
Yesterday, I washed the engine bay down. Pulled out the old alarm siren that was just screwed into the firewall. It didn't seem to be connected because once I unscrewed just one screw off, the siren freely came off with it. Connected back the battery, and the hazards were going on and off. Tried starting the car but it didn't want to start. No crank or click what so ever. Looked under the dash and found that the old alarm system/brain was still there and connected. I unplugged the harnesses from the main module but there was no effect, still no start and lights still flashing. I disconnected 1 fused wire that I thought was connected to the ignition/key switch or starter signal and the flashing lights stopped. So I think I got all the wires out and taped back the old cuts. Still no start. The thing is, when put in acc, the CEL and oil lights don't even flash or blink like they normally do. Whenever I try starting the car, the only thing I hear is the fan turning on. Fuses and grounds all seem to be fine.
