Default Help w/ Dipstick tube on b18c1

I have a 2000 integra gsr motor (b18c1) And I had some problems with it prior to finding this.
It was blowing smoke/burning oil after vtec kicked.. So I did a compression and leak down, and basically it seemed the source was valve seals. So I get valve/cam seals replaced, and I have been babying it for the past 500 miles or so to let the valves set. On the rare occasions that I do get on it, I think it might still be smoking a little bit (nowhere near what it use to be) and sometimes I think I can still smell oil. I know that my car is running rich because of a chipped ecu, and sometimes it seems hard to distinguish whether its fuel or oil im smelling.

Now, another stupid problem I'm having is I feel I can't even get an accurate oil reading because my dipstick tube if not somewhat wedged in place w/ the dipstick, it will pull right up along w/ my dipstick. Is this something I'm just supposed to pull my header off, and pound it back in slightly?? Or am I missing some kind of seal? I know this could be somewhat of a problem... although there is no oil pressure on this side, all around the tube there is oil..
No oil on the ground after parking however.
Any help anyone? would be greaatly appreciated.

yes the tube just presses into the block. you may have to buy a new tube. it sounds like yours might be a bit distorted where it preses into the block. Most people cant even get them out when they go to the machine shop. I never have.

thx man... i kinda had that impression. The way the tube is in now, it is sideways... and pops right out of the block. When I tried to put it in the right way (mind im trying to press it in w/ the dip stick lol) it is very hard to get it in. My next guess was to pull both heat shields, and header, and get a soft hammer and tap it in while it is ligned up the right way, if it works it works, if not, find another tube... finding another tube though....... aye aye aye
