Why not just buy some new wiseco's? I'd say either them or some CP's, my old ls/vtec after I sold it ended up with some CP's in the upper 500hp range.

What cause the piston to burn up in the first place? It might not be a piston issue at all, it could be a tuning issue

Thats what im thinking as well. a proper tune with forged pistons should not cause a melt down or other issues. if you wanna try another brand though look at cp and arias.

Yeah, like others above said if your melting a piston you've got a problem I mena even OE cast pistons can handle 300HP set-ups if the tune is even close. i've had CP's in my 84mm benson block and it was making over 600WHP. But I've seen Wisecos makin power as well so...

not too sure why the piston really went... the car over heated on the hwy pulled over let it cool down when i re started it there was a knocking noise thought i bent a rod at first then tore the engine down to find that the rod was perfectly fine then found a bunch of alum in the bottom of the oil pan now making me pretty sure its a piston problem

and the car has been properly tuned well it was at the dyno, its was tuned with a program called chrome that basically tunes through the stock(type r) ecu seeing i am running on a piggy back setup

Just because it was tuned on chrome doesn't mean it was tuned properly. I'm not saying it wasn't but there's that possibility. all depends on your tuner and how good he is.

man that sucks i got 84mm JE piston. so far they are a champ meaning taking a good beating. daily driven boosting 12 pounds untuned drove like that for 2years over, heating alot ( block guard lack of coolant flow). besides that i broke an oil line ran without oil on fwy. got it fixed then after found out the turbo died ( no oil ), and small metal fins went inside the motor. another turbo later runs fine just over heats. i always thought wiseco pistons are one of the best out there! good luck with the build.

i am sure it was tuned properly was tuned at one of the best performances places in my area and have a good name out there in the drag racing scene so i cant see me being the only person to complain about the tuning of my car from the place that did it, i always thought wiseco pistons were one of the best out there as well thats why i went with them basically went with top of the line with all my internals but seems like they did not hold up so well in my set up not like i am running a ton of boost either only running 12 pounds

first thing is tear into the motor and find out what the problem is, guessing is not going to solve anything, like others have said sounds like a bad tune pistons dont just fail for no reason.

and what is this about a type r ecu, exactly what ecu are you using? Also crome is on the bottom of tunning software, I would think about upgrading next time around.

There's a guy around where I live that let another guy tune his car. Well, at ten pounds of boost, the tuner leaned it out and apparently intentionally sabotaged the car. I think they were using Chrome or something along that line. I was under the intention that most any ECU based tuning would be fine, it's just up to the person making the adjustments to make it reliable.

The Honda world is full of liars and cheats. Trust nobody.
