I just fabbed it up yesterday and wanted to try it out tonight during our street wars.. Best time of the night was 12.1 @ 112 although this pass was a 12.6@ 91.. I missed a gear... The car is a full street car with no weight reduction or anything... Hope you guys like it! Oh and don't mind the "commentator" LOL My wife got really excited!

Damn, you beat me to it... I want to do the same thing, mostly because I haven't seen it done before, but I wanna run it maybe 2 feet higher than that...maybe put a flapper on top...and wrap a junk hood in camo
In for pics of someone who's done it with a wet CF hood. Want to know the best way of doing it to prevent cracking around the cut area....Anybody chime in on that?
this is our car, its a CF hood (was JUNK). i used a hole saw and then a fine file. cut the aluminum (very thin), and riveted it on. EASY

What's the story with the crx?? Pics of the Intake Manifold and radiator setup. That bitch looks mean! Anybody know any cars running exhaust taller than that? I doubt you'd get very far on the street before cops take a notice... "But Officer, it's stock, I swear!" Down here they'll give you a ticket for driving with the hood off...not saying it's a good idea, just saying they nit-pick stupid sht.
the CRX was built for the Grassroots Motorsports 2009$ challenge..we won the competion with it this year. it was built entirely for less than 2000$ (FULLY documented)
it took a long time to put the H's on. tons. painted in a garage, hundred of hours of scouring craigslist, HT, Ef-honda, all the other sites for deals, buying parts cars for the motor, piecing together a trans with an LSD, etc.
lots of time, lots of fab work (that header is a MUGEN header that was on a heavily wrecked car and found in a dumpster, and chopped up and re-done). i copied tony1 with the exhaust....and i LOVE it. driving it on the street is hilarious.. tons of flames. car has ran well into the 11's, turns like crazy.
