Icon2 [HELP] 1998 Accord DX Blower Motor Problem

I've recently run into two problems in the following order:

1) Engine temperatures getting on the warmer side when stopped (up to 75% on meter). This happened for a few weeks. I checked coolant level, and everything is still full. There hasn't been any noticeable fluid leakage.

This problem went away for the most part, then a week later:

2) The blower motor started malfunctioning (air temperature changes, but only seeps through the vents). None of the fan settings engage the blower motor. This problem is INTERMITTENT. I replaced the fuse first (obviously the cheapest).

What would you recommend replacing next: fan switch, blower motor, blower motor resistor, or something else?

Disclaimer: Yes, I have searched.

Sweet, thanks for the reply. Just so I get it straight, the "rad fan switch" is the one on the a/c controls, right? The radiator fan seems to work fine. Excuse my ignorance.

no no no no no no... mistake on my behalf. one of the options you have listed is "fan switch". i thought you were referencing your radiator fan's switch. you mentioned an overheating problem, i thought that your radiator fan wasn't coming on.

i would definitely get the car's temp problem checked out, did you try bleeding the coolant to let any air bubbles out? maybe your thermostat is going bad

The temperature problem seems to have rectified itself, though I don't have a problem bleeding/replacing the thermostat.

Mainly, I'm trying to get the a/c fan working again. The mornings are getting cold here in Utah. I haven't heard of anyone needing to replace the switch on the a/c control panel for the fan speed, but it was just an idea.

Thanks for your input, keep it coming!

I guess I'll go with the blower motor then.
