Where is the horn relay for 1999 Honda Civic LX
Hi,
I bought a 1999 Honda Civic LX and the person admitted that the horn was sticking so he had it disconnected.
I don't know what someone did to disconnect it, but I want to fix it.
I removed the horn and tested that it works.
I checked the horn/stop fuse under the hood next to the firewall and it is good. There is a connector after that fuse box (under the hood) about a foot or less away and I tested the horns works from there, but I appear to be getting any juice to that connector when I press the horn (with the ignition turned on).
I have read that there should be a horn relay somewhere but the owners manuals does not show where it is located and which relay might be the one.
The cover for the fuse box under the hood does not show a horn relay and the cover for the fuse box under the inside dashboard is gone, so I cannot see which relays are which in the box.
Does anyone know where the horn relay would be and which specific relay it is in that location?
I also expect that the buttons on the steering column are sticking and that is probably why the person had it disconnected, but first I have to get back to that point to be sure.
Any help on where the horn relay is and what to expect to fix the sticking button on the steering column would be greatly appreciated before I take it to a dealership and spend a couple hundred dollars just for them to look at it.
Thanks,
Kyle.

I found a write on the back right side of the steering wheel under a little cliff off compartment that had been disconnected and electrical tape around it. I figure that is why the horn isn't working and probably disconnected because the horn was sticking. Can't see into that compartment to see where it is suppose to be connected. Any ideas? The click off compartment (1" by 3") is directly behind the horn buttons on the front side of the steering column. Since it is behind the steering wheel, I can't see very good into that area and even tried a mirror with a light.
Thanks
Kyle.

I had to replace my bumper on my hx and the new one came with oem fog lights so I went to the dealer and got the harness for under the dash that ties your light switch and fog light switch, anyways I forgot to also get a relay but it used the same one as the horn so I just disconnected my horn and used it instead then later I got a new relay when I had to get the car inspected.
