Default Exhaust Fumes???

Whats up guys I just got a fully built turbo civic hatch. The fumes are too strong in the car when my wastegate opens and doesnt. Does anybody here have the same problem with there cars. Mines fully striped and Im considering buying some expansion foam to seal the chassis. Is this a health hazard or not as long as my windows are rolled down can it kill me????

No, just route the waste gate into one of those pilot helmets and breathe it all in.

Yes, it'll be bad for you. If you don't suffocate, you'll get cancer later on.

I might just get that **** welded to the exhaust I dunno, the motor is breaking in could that be why, or until i get it tuned so its not so rich could be another reason. This **** is just making me dizzy and my clothes smell like exhaust

I just want to talk to someone who has driven around with the same problem and been ok other than basic symptoms, someone has to of had a boosted car on this forum. I know this is stupid I just want to make my car not smell like **** and I know what is and isnt bad for you so you guys can just stop with the smart *** remarks. I just want to know pretty much how and who knows the best way to seal a stripped car so nothing leaks in. I already bough some great stuff foam sealer for tall the fenders and cracks which helped alittle the next thing would be to permanently seal my hatch because I can stick my fingers in it from the back quite easily so exhaust has to be coming through there.

I run a open waste gate, and I dont get fumes strong enough to make me dizzy, I hardly get any at all when I hit full boost which I can rarely do on the street anyways that's besides the point. Is it running super rich? whats the A/F ratio? You might want to get it tuned before you start to open the waste gate by boosting....

10.1-10.5ish at idle but it leans out alot before I hit boost I just have a fuel controller right now. Am I just smell rich fuel and not so much carbon monoxide. Its not super strong but it doenst smell like exhaust its smells like a mixture, I did spill alot of oil on my engine the other day but its not that

That's super rich at idle, my car doesn't even hit that at full boost and I'm tuned rich to make sure I don't pre-detonate even though I do lose some power I would rather give up some pony's then spend the money on a rebuild.

Get it tuned it will make a world of different.

I know I need to target 14.1 to 14.7 AFR at idle and when not in boost so that should make my car not burn as much carbon then ayyy

I mean you can see exhaust gas all around the car just when it sits there, its a dark gray smoke. Whats the exact engine break in mileage anyways for a d-series?

Can I at least get everyone to agree with me that im not supposed to smell anything that strong in my car while driving, gas or exhaust. My muffler is kinda tucked under my car alittle bit I was considering moving it back 5ish inches and tipping it out. I dunno what else to do
