Whats the deal with this manifold/turbo setup?

what do you guys think of that manifold? i have never seen anything like it, probaly for a reason, huh? I have the same car, and lack even more room in the front of the motor, this is somewhat interesting...anyone know how to contact this guy?

KOOP, why did you choose that direction for the mani. I was thinking of working on a setup like yours, but putting the turbo on the other side of the car or backwards from your setup. Kinda like the Sentra guys have done. Any pros or cons I should be aware of?
Oh yeah Joe, I understand the intentions, can't say I'd build anything like that myself.

true, it is in a sense similar, but the one i posted really has no merge collector at all. Will this inturn effect performance? As you know, the H22a leans backwards, not level/forward like the B series does...I can replicate that guy's manifold for very cheap, so i might copy it....
when i stumbled upon this manifold/setup, it blew me away. i couldn't understand how i couldn't have figured out to try this...it seems fairly easy, if you look, he uses an AEM cai for intercooler piping on half of it! i guess all i'm going to need to do it relocate the battery to the trunk, and i'll have a ton of room.

by the way doesnt long runners like that....loose heat energy, resulting in less energy spinning the turbo?
i would like to know the answer to this, because right now i'm somewhat seriously considering building this manifold because of ease of assembly, and price to build.
Actually wouldn't you want it on the stud? Where that ground strap is connected to doesn't touch the "motor" at all. The valve cover doesn't contact the head because of the gasket and the rubber part of the valve cover seals. So connecting the ground strap directly to the valve cover does nothing at all...

that is definitely Mark Bremmer's engine bay
mark's manifold is badass, but lets get back to the subject...heh!
I was compairing my engine bay to a astock accord last night, the stock accord motor definitly has more room in that area because of the placement of the starter. though, i suppose i'll purchase a turbo befor ei build the manifold, and "test fit" where the turbo should go.

I know it's Marks car because i've seen him post links to it, and he's got one kickass setup.
I don't know him, but i've always valued his posts.
i believe i could make up for the design flaws. what size tubing would be sufficent for the runners? and then for the main collector? also, i would get the thing coated asap because of the uglyness of it.

I understand the engine is already grounded by the ground strap on the tranny.. But what is the purpose of grounding just the valve cover if nothing electrical is grounded to it..? Maybe I'm missing something, but grounding the valve cover doesn't seems to serve any purpose. Another ground for the motor sounds like a good idea to me.
