Default offroad h22a unlimited class 5 BAJA

Another newbie here:
Wanting a engine for offroad, honda/acura I4 in F series, K, H series. easy 200hp and 163 tq. What does it take to get ECU and wiring to perform like they should.
I have a 66 Baja and 2002 WRX in my other street legal Baja.
The new one is for racing and wanting little clearance issuses below the engine and wanting to change the oil as only engine prep for the next race.
The F& K series wind-up good and less on tork. I hope to get lots of input, spending way to much time on surfing JDM engines with no ECU. ??????????

k would be the most reliable as you can attain that hp withoup popping the valve cover, thru headers and exhaust and ecu.

Here is what it takes to get a stock ECU to perform properly.

PGM-FI System

Note: Info posted is for a DOHC VTEC H22A1

A chipped OBD1 ECU or K-Pro, OBD2 K series, Hondata ECU can be made to ignore quite a few of the sensors.

As for what engine to buy. What is your overall drive train budget, including ECU/Tuning and electronics?
