Default Rebuildin transmission

I have a b16 transmission that replaced 2nd and 5th gears from the countershaft and mainshaft with gsr gears. Now that i am going back and putting it all together, the 1st gear on the countershaft hits the differentials bolts. i never removed the diff. What do i do?

Tap the diff all the way in. The countershaft will not rest on the CSB once the trans is assembled.

Have you assembled the trans yet to see if it hits with the countershaft snap ring installed correctly?

Follow the process in the Helms manual, you'll need a mainshaft base and holder, dial indicator, and a base set the indicator stand on.
