How do you adjust traction bars?
I Just bought a competition engineering traction bars for a 92 EG.Do you want it to pull towards the front of the car or ???? I called thier tech line but left on hold forever so Im seeking real Help from Honda_Tech Guru's.
yes you will tighten them towards the front of the car they say if it a daily driver dont tighten them more then 2 1/2 turns but full drag car you can tighten them up pretty good.
I would recommend going to an alignment shop to get it done properly depending on your application. If you want to just leave it at it's natural position, I would have your suspension at it's ride height and slightly tighten the radius rods so it doesn't effect your toe in, toe out. Hope that helps...

if you are dragging the car only, you want to run more positive caster than normal. it will tend to drive the wheels straight. making the car smoother. but you will have no steering return when coming out of a turn on the street. but best way is on the line em up rack so you can see where exactly your caster is.
It is a drag car but I dont think you could align it. It has a MB rear straight axle with skinnie's and the front has 24.5x8x13 slicks...Ive try'd to have it align'd but no1 could do it so I eyeball it with a straight ruler.
the competition engineering traction bar is designed incorrectly and very dangerous. The rods go straight front to back and will cause your LCA to bind, and not move. This is very very bad, and it also will make turning yoiur car a nightmare since the tire will badly rub the traction bar. the proper adjustment is to pull the rods forwards to set some positive caster, you want some slight but not overly firm tension on the LCA bushings, and equal caster right to left. get a full-race traction bar and do it right
