found some old project pics.
back in like '02 I wanted to do a leadsled project for fun
so I picked up a 1951 2dr sedan out of Florida

I knew it needed to be chopped...
so we marked and measured all of the necessary cut points

starting with removing the rear window frame structure to retain the factory shaped rear glass

after the window frame was removed, we took 6" out of the front A pillars, removed the B pillars, leaned them forward 15*, and removed 8" from the C pillar section to give the roof a "raked" look

from memory, the hardest part back then were the rear C pillar patch panels

nothing a little work on the english wheel and some patience can't help
as we were chopping the top we noticed a lot of "cancer" on all the typical lower quarter panels.

so we cut all of it out and replaced it with new stamped 18g steel panels all around with a rear roll pan shaved in.

the ldea was to make the car look fast standing still

Ha, I remember seeing that car a long time ago at your shop. It must have been around 2003-2004, I remember that your shop looked like you were just starting out. I bought a B18 block from you with some new kind of closed deck sleeves in it done by a guy who was just starting out. From what I remember there was only two of those blocks made. It's funny, I've heard of PeakBoost many times before but I never knew that I've bought stuff from you back in the day. Good luck with the business and the lead sled.

this was done from first to last pic in like a month, and it sat til late 2003 when we sold it to Lucky7 Choppers in Socal.
I actually sold it before I got all the parts together for the build, but I heard that the guy who built it didn't have any problems, made very good power. Is AZ Race Machine still around?

We did a 46 chevy 4door shaved body, chopped top, frenched lights all around, mustang II front end, small block, custom interior, etc.
Also a 65 chevy short bed, 400 small block, 4 speed, pretty much full restore with some custom bits here and there.
There are others, but I don't have access to pics here while I am in the desert.
