Default what to do oh what to do

So, I'm stumped.

Come this Saturday, I'm going to check out a 95 GSR with 200k on it.

With that said, there is also a 96 GS with 200k on it, which is cheaper.

Both these cars are in top-notch condition for their age. Now I have two routes which I'm contemplating. I either get the GS which is cheaper and most likely will be cheaper on Insurance, I lose out on power but I'm totally down to dropping a sound system in it and cruise around. Or I can get the GSR for about a thousand more. (GSR is from a used car dealership and the GS is a private sale) The GSR will no doubt give me lots more power to play with, I won't dare drop a sound system in it, and it'll be my "Race car" . One of my biggest concern is the theft rate on the GSR, I don't want to leave my car thinking about it getting stolen. At least with the GS I can feel a little more comfortable. I will be getting an alarm, but even that won't stop the best of thieves.

What do you guy's think? I'll add more in a bit.

I would go and talk the dealership down on the price, get the gsr, you will be much happier.

Agreed. Don't let the theft part influence your decision, you'll be fighting against theft whether it's a GSR or GS.

Also, the GSR is obd1, which is a big plus over the obd2 GS when you want to start modding.

True.

The dealer wants 3700 and I know it's going to be a war to drop that. I'm hoping to do 3000 flat or at least have him help me on the tax.

GS on the other hand, he's asking 2900 and that should be a breeze to lower to a comfortable number. Also Leather interior

But yeah, GSR will no doubt be a good buy. Right now it all comes down to pricing.
