HELP WITH IDLE CANNOT FIND FIT VALVE
helloi have a 2000 em1 and i just recently started to have idle surges. i cvhecked online and they said to check the FITV. when i took off my intake and car is warmed, i looked inside my throttle open area and saw that there was only ONE hole on the left hand side. i plugged the hole and my car died. does this hole go to the IACV? i detached the iacv and wiped the srceen down with water. still same problem. i tried checking all hoses for vacuum leaks. couldnt find any although i will replace them later today. also under my throttle body there is NO FITV. its just the TB thats it! please help
also, sometimes the idle needle goes up and down and sometimes it doesnt but i can still hear the engine's idle surge up and down when the needle stays stable
you don't have an fitv... your not suppose to have one on an obdII car, clean the iacv thoroughly follow this link https://honda-tech.com/forums/acura-integra-6/%2A%2A%2Ahow-clean%2A%2A%2A-your-iacv-k-idle-air-control-valve-1575913/
check for vaclume leak, clean your iacv.hope that works if not you got to track down the problem anything from a leak to maybe a gasket like the intake mani.

is there any other way to check for vacuum leaks other than trying to feel for air coming out of the hoses? so far everything looks good, what other hoses should i be checking besides the brake booster vacuum line? and is there a more efficient way to check for leaks?
