Default starting problem with EF civic

91 civic hatchback, D15b
stock

so when im driving for a long(er) period of time and turn off my car, it wont just start back up. sometimes i have to wait like 2-6 minutes for it to start up again. you can hear it trying, it just wont turn over.
i open the hood and sit for a little, and it will fire right up.

want to figure out the problem before it starts to grow/get any worse.
thanks

starter? or coil? coils tend to act up like that. they will get hot and then wont work until they cool down.

Is your car cranking like normal when you experience this problem?
Or is it just not starting?

getting a CEL? i would be willing to bet you have a code 16 (fuel injectors)it is a very common problem with dpfi do an mpfi swap and it will completly alleviate the problem if that is indeed it.

or i guess you could try some injector cleaner or replace the injectors. the injector cleaner is more or less a temporary fix and new injectors may eventually have the same problem.
