Default Rough idle at times

I have a 2001 V6 4DR Accord and my idle at times goes up and down. I could go weeks and the idle is normal. Then one day when I start up the car the idle goes up and down. Once I get moving the idle is normal.

clean the throttlebody with TB cleaner & a toothbrush. If that doesnt work, look into cleaning or replacing the PCV valve or/or EGR valve. Small projects.

I would also suggest giving your throttlebody some attention. You might also take a detour over to your Idle Air Control Motor (valve) (IACV) and give it a refreshening too, It's the dude that actually controls the idle.

There are procedures spelled out in the FAQ section at the forum's beginning for this.
