Default cutting & threading inner tie rod for EF9 knuckles.

i got some ef9 knuckles for my ed6 & i was wondering if anyone knew for sure how much i have to cut off the inner tie rod and thread down to get a proper alignment. I've looked around and some people say 3/8'' , 5/8'' & even a whole inch but nothing confirmed! thanks!

Put them on and align the wheels yourself. I have NEVER paid for an alignment on a Honda since I was changing setups or ride heights a lot... It is simple keep the steering wheel straight and measure the same points on the front and back of the tires... just make sure you have the front suspension under load (best bet is a pair of car ramps). Then cut off what you need or you might not even have to cut any at all !!!

All of my cars drive perfectly straight and good tire wear. I have been doing this for YEARS... mainly because I was tired of getting cars back from the shop and they pull slightly to the left or right...

hahahaha! arguing..lol.

well I was trying to give myself an alignment but the inner rod is toed out as much as it can and its not enough.

I've heard from others that I had to cut em forsure but nobody was sure on the amount.

i have also heard 1 inch. i had a set back in the day and did alot of research but never di it, so i dont know for sure. there used to be a tech article on his site a few years back with good info.

i tried putting them on once with out cuting and rethreading and with it adjusted all the way in it was still towed in quite a bit.

the way i remember it, 1 inch would be sufficiant for equal adjustment in either direction.
